How the Pomodoro technique works

  1. Define a task. Choose what you will focus on (study, work, reading, etc).
  2. Work 25 minutes with total focus. No social media, no phone, no multitasking.
  3. Take a 5-minute short break. Stand up, drink water, stretch, and rest your mind.
  4. Repeat 4 times. After 4 focus cycles, take a 15 to 30 minute long break.

Tips to get the most out of it:

  • • Keep only one tab/task open at a time.
  • • Write interruptions on paper and come back to them later.
  • • Use the cycles to measure how long your tasks really take.
